Weave a Table Runner - Eliot School- SOLD OUT
A fun event to make and take home a memorable table runner!
Time & Location
May 20, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Eliot School of Applied and Fine Arts, Jamaica Plains, MA
About the Event
Learn to master the art of hand weaving and weave a table runner, to be taken home at the end of the day.
No previous experience is necessary, as you will be guided by Dahlia through the weaving, design and finishing process.
We will be weaving with repurposed cotton fabric strips on rigid heddle looms. Each student will be encouraged to see this way of weaving as a potential form of art and design which will be foremost in determining a unique runner.
Consider bringing your own fabrics to cut into strips and weave with. These can include a son’s flannel shirt, a husband’s neckties, patterned sheets which are no longer in service, etc. Dahlia will have many cotton fabric strips to choose from as well. Register through the Eliot School.
